THANK YOU. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. I want to give this article 500k more claps. This is exactly what I needed to read. It was there, in the back of my brain, but I needed to see it spelled out.

I found out I’m Autistic two months ago, and thanks to you I also know now that I am non-binary. I am seeking out a diagnosis because I understand that there are some sort of accommodations for Autistic people here in Germany. I have been firmly opposed to the idea of Autism as some sort of medical condition the whole time — pretty sure the only reason it’s seen as such is for neurotypical people to feel in charge of/superior to these so viciously non-conforming individuals they will never understand.
